At Crawford High School, our Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways are designed to equip students with practical skills, hands-on experiences, and exposure to real-world industries. They engage students in meaningful learning that bridges the gap between the classroom and future careers. These programs not only help students discover their passions, but also build the confidence and readiness needed for success after graduation, whether in college, the workforce, or other postsecondary opportunities.

Public Service Industry Sector

Careers in public service are unique because they center on challenging issues that define the public agenda and involve the provision of vital services to the public—from local to international levels. Public service professions offer many career opportunities, including the following career pathways: Public Safety, Emergency Response, and Legal Practices. At Crawford we have both Legal practice and Emergency Response pathways. The Emergency Response pathway helps students get ready for careers that involve protecting and saving lives. In this program, students learn important skills and knowledge they can use in college, job training programs, or future careers. Learning happens in the classroom and through hands-on experiences like job shadowing and simulations. This pathway can lead to careers such as firefighter, paramedic, emergency medical technician (EMT), or working in disaster response and emergency management.
