Dear Crawford Colts,
Thank you for extending such a warm welcome to me as the new Principal of Crawford High School! This has been a fantastic school year, and it has been an honor leading San Diego’s finest High School! These are a few highlights: I am extremely proud of the phenomenal work that our Restorative Justice leaders have done in facilitating peaceful conflict resolution and peer mediation. Crawford also stood out as a model school with the new Aspen Challenge, where students collaborated on goals and solutions to address concerns, city-wide. Our Law Academy participated in the Appellate Court Outreach Program, which was a tremendous success. Scholars met Appellate Court Justices and learned about this process in the legal system. I am inspired every day that I serve Crawford, as it is an encouraging and special place for students to learn. Our teachers and staff are committed to providing students with high quality instruction every day. They teach from the heart and believe in our students. Kudos to our terrific counselors, helpful staff, and awesome student leaders! Thanks for representing Colt Nation so well!
As your principal, I have had the distinct privilege of witnessing your incredible journeys, your transformations, and your achievements this year. I am filled with pride and optimism for what the future holds for every one of you. Remember, success is not just measured by the heights you reach but by the obstacles you overcome along the way. As summer approaches, we encourage you to take this time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the moments that make memories. Whether you're exploring new places or simply unwinding with loved ones, embrace this opportunity for restful days and exciting adventures. We eagerly await your return, energized and ready for the upcoming school year. To our incoming 9th graders, welcome to our school community! We can't wait to meet you at Colts Camp on July 29th and embark on this journey together. Mark your calendars—the first day of school for all students is Monday, August 12th. Get ready for a year filled with learning, growth, and new experiences!
To our graduating class, remember, the end of your high school journey does not signify the completion of learning, but rather, the beginning of a lifelong quest for knowledge, understanding, and growth. As you step out into the world, carry with you the lessons of compassion, perseverance, and the unwavering belief in your own potential.
